- Internet of Things standards body now includes Fortune 100 companies from all of the world’s regions; Announces new liaison agreements and welcomes new executive director
PORTLAND, ORE.--(Business Wire) May 27, 2015 -- Today, the Open Interconnect Consortium, Inc. (OIC) announced the addition of 25 new member organizations thus far in 2015. These companies and nonprofits hail from regions around the world including Greater China, South Korea, North America, Western Europe and the Middle East. They offer products and services in a variety of sectors ranging from energy and engineering to gaming and education. In addition, OIC welcomed a new executive director, Mike Richmond, who has held an array of product marketing and business management leadership roles at Intel Corporation since 1981.
OIC also has established liaison agreements with both the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) and UPnP Forum to maintain compatibility and ensure common usages are covered.
