SEOUL -- Digital Industries (DI) at Siemens Korea (Siemens Ltd. Seoul·SLS) announced that the awards ceremony for the ‘11th Siemens Digital CNC Competition’ was successfully held on July 25 at the Digital Experience and Application Center in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do.
This year’s Siemens Digital CNC Competition was conducted online on a virtual platform on July 16, evaluating competitors’ programming skills in determining how machine tools process materials using Siemens’ digital twin-based CNC machining program, SINUTRAIN. With multiple choice exams and creative drawings, it was a good opportunity for students to enhance their abilities in computer-aided milling and turning, as well as deepening their understanding of machine tools and Siemens-related concepts and terminology.
Among more than 500 participants, 20 winners were awarded during the ceremony. Siemens honored the most outstanding participants with prestigious awards including the Minister of Employment and Labor Award, the Korea Committee for International Skills Olympics President’s Award, the Siemens Digital Industries Excellence Award, and other additional prizes.
