REDLANDS, CALIF. -- Esri, the global leader in location intelligence, has partnered with Dataminr, the leading real-time AI platform, to enhance real-time emergency response for public organizations. Esri’s ArcGIS Basemaps will be integrated into Dataminr First Alert, a real-time critical event discovery solution. Used by public sector organizations around the globe for emergency and crisis response, diplomatic security, infrastructure protection, and more, First Alert will leverage Esri’s ArcGIS Basemaps to improve decision-making for customers. Over the next few months, Dataminr will transition current First Alert users to the new Esri basemap experience.
“By equipping First Alert users with Esri’s comprehensive and authoritative collection of basemaps, we are happy to empower organizations with the advanced geospatial awareness that only our location services can provide,” said Richard Cooke, Corporate Director of Global Business Development at Esri. “This integration will enable Dataminr customers to detect emerging threats earlier, visualize their proximity to critical assets, and make faster, more informed decisions.”
This new integration enables a single map-based operations resource for users who need real-time understanding of events and potential emergencies. By combining the power of mapping with AI, it will allow users to detect and locate emerging risks and events to provide the earliest possible warning significantly faster than traditional methods. Enhanced mapping performance and visual context enable accelerated understanding and decision-making.
“With Esri’s geospatial data as a foundation for First Alert’s operational picture, we’re creating a new standard for how the public sector manages and contextualizes risk through real-time, actionable insights,” said Brian Gumbel, President and Chief Operating Officer at Dataminr. “When minutes matter, knowing exactly what's happening, and where, is the key to an effective response.”
Serving government and public safety organizations across more than 220 countries and territories, Dataminr is recognized as one of the world’s leading AI software providers. The company’s unique platform monitors more than one million public data sources, including images, video, and text in over 150 languages. Dataminr will begin migrating existing customers to ArcGIS Basemaps, with the transition to be complete by the end of the year. However, customers who would like to accelerate full access to Esri’s basemaps can reach out to their Customer Success Manager to initiate the process.
