가스공사, 국내 최초 냉열활용 탄소배출권 확보기반 마련
LNG냉열을 냉동창고에 활용, 매년 약 700톤의 온실가스 감축

	한국가스공사(사장 최연혜)는 지난 3월, 국내 최초로 ‘LNG 냉열(영하 162℃의 LNG가 기화할 때 발생하는 에너지) 활용을 통한 전력 및 화석연료 사용 절감 사업’에 대한 방법론을 환경부로부터 승인 받았다고 4월 24일 밝혔다. ‘방법론’은 온실가스 감축량 계산방법 및 절차를 기술하고 있다. 가스공사는 지난해 2월 LNG 냉열 고객사인 ‘한국초저온(대표이사 김덕원)’과 방법론 개발을 위한 협약을 체결한 후, 1년여 간의 정부 협의를 거쳐 올해 3월 환경부 인증위원회로부터 최종 승인을 받았다. ...
